Poem: The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair;
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was
grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, And I-
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Thoughts:
This poem is very meaningful.
People walks different paths, do different jobs, have different hopes. However, the reality does not allow people to do on their wills.
People who became lawyers, doctor or successful businessman are rich, powerful, and considered successful. But people who follows their dream and passion and become their dream jobs, those that are uncommon and earns less are considered less successful. Especially the current situation, people only care about your result, not what you think, what you did, what you went through, and what you want.
Hence we should, or at least try, to let go our dreams and hopes, to do things that many others want to but could not, to do things that are tougher than what other did, to do things that are less done by others. It maybe tougher, but it make a difference.
